  • Inserts are "stuffed' or inserted into a pocket in the lining of the shell

Sized vs OSFM:

  • Sized nappies come in different sizes; extra small or newborn, small, medium, large
  • Sized nappies tend to be trimmer and less bulky
  • Sized nappies may only last a short period of time due to baby's growth
  • OSFM are cost effective as the fit from approximately 3months - toilet training
  • OSFM may be bulky on smaller babies
  • OSFM are harder to fit on newborns

Velcro vs Snaps:

  • Velcro allows for a better customised fit
  • Velcro can be quicker and easier to use
  • Velcro may be easily undone by toddlers
  • Velcro does not last very long and can appear discoloured and worn over time
  • Velcro needs to be secured before washing
  • Snaps last a long time
  • Snaps are harder for toddlers to undo
  • Snaps may be harder to get the perfect fit for baby as your baby may be between snaps sizes
  • Snaps do not need to be secured before washing
